VIVA LA SALSA began from the desire to support the culture of live salsa music in the vibrant city of Philadelphia. Focused on captivating rhythms that not only inspire dancing but also deeply connect salsa fans from all walks of life, VIVA LA SALSA has always aimed to foster and create a truly welcoming and inclusive environment for the celebration of culture and community.

Since its inception in August 2024, VIVA LA SALSA Philly has had the distinct pleasure of hosting an impressive lineup of incredible bands and diverse DJs hailing from the rich musical landscapes of Philly, Jersey, and the NYC areas. Notable performances have included talented groups such as Avenida B, Combo Melaza, People of Earth, and Orquesta del Barrio, as well as guest appearances by DJ Jose Rodriguez and DJ JukanBaila (NYC). By keeping the dedicated focus on the music, VIVA LA SALSA has successfully cultivated an experience that is now synonymous with both passionate dance enthusiasts and talented musicians alike, creating a thriving community centered around the joy of Afro-Latin rhythms and culture.
